Sidermajor residential housing

Sidermajor insulated modular buildings have a wide variety of intended uses, from tourist resorts, construction camps and dining halls to dormitories, first-aid rooms and schools. Sidermajor offer cost-effective alternatives, both in terms of purchase and assembly, to traditional construction methods, while providing all the comfort of brick homes.

Sidermajor prefabricated buildings provide three main features: their patented panellised system, the use of recyclable and non-toxic materials in their construction and their self ventilation.

Patented panellised system
The simplicity of the Sidermajor system rests both on the modularity of the panels and the patented panellised system. This limited use of bolts, screws and silicon and the reduced weight of each component greatly eases the assembly and disassembly of Sidemajor buildings.

Recyclable and non-toxic materials
Water-based coatings are applied to the external walls, inside panelling is made from chipboard and/or gypsum boards and insulation is achieved by fire-retardant, non-toxic mineral fibres. Polyurethane foam insulation (which releases highly toxic and lethal acids in the event of fire) is not used anywhere in Sidemajor's construction.

Self ventilation
Self ventilation within Sidemajor buildings consists of upward airflows sweeping in the external wall claddings through appropriate grooves at the base of the panels and in the attic space. This process prevents the walls from getting too hot and allowing moisture to evaporate, thus keeping the atmosphere inside both healthy and comfortable.

ECO Project

Edilsider's ECO project was born to satisfy the dual purposes of erecting houses in locations where there is a lack of technical know-how, and to enable the fast track construction of houses while maintaining safety and home comfort.

ECO structures feature the following main characteristics:
Tight clearance and transport: thanks to the exclusive use of cold-drawn sections, provided with specifically designed, patented sections.
Unparalleled ease of assembly: through the very limited use of silicon, screws, rivets and bolts.
Excellent static properties: due to being constructed from adequate cross-members whose appropriate section have been assessed to accommodate size and live load requirements.
Adaptability, with a view to fitting into various architectural traditions: as the structures are compatible with all one and two-storey buildings.

Modular Hotels

Due to their extreme adaptability, Edilsider products can even be used for the construction of modular hotels. Please see the Modular Hotels document in the downloads section to the left, for sample schematics.
