All Weather ECO House - AWE Modern Modular Housing Technology

The All Weather ECO House (AWE) developed by Longyuan Construction Group Co., Ltd., AWH Co., Ltd. and LGV Engineering Co., Ltd. incorporates the best of Italian design with the know-how of Thai-Chinese workmanship and tradition.

A new system that implements existing technology and materials, AWE products use a modular system that brings together different materials to form a composite wall panel. Comprised of light concrete, galvanized steel, gypsum, wood and insulation materials, a completed composite wall 15-20cm thick provides desired robustness while remaining very light.

Both durable and long-lasting, AWE structures enjoy a high degree of comfort with its double wall structure delivering an auto-ventilation system and good insulation. The building's composite walls are light on weight with a strength comparable to a conventional house and are also anti-seismic -- that is, resistant to the strongest earthquake.

AWE structures enjoy great modularity, with a comprehensive range of designs and sizes available. They're also straightforward to erect and second to none in terms of quality and reliability. The cost is also extremely competitive.

These advantages of AWE come together to create a product that demonstrates tremendous promise for use in tropical and equatorial countries throughout Southeast Asia, the Americas, Middle East and Africa.

The vision behind the AWE design concept is to enable the rapid construction of homes in environments where traditional construction materials are not easily available. AWE houses provide safe and comfortable living in both the hottest and coldest climates worldwide.

Entire sections of AWE houses are designed and built in the factory in Thailand. This includes the structural sections, toilets, electric wiring, doors, windows and other accessories. These sections are shipped to the building site, where they can be erected by the civil contractor onto a pre-cast reinforced concrete foundation (all utilities, water and sewage piping are pre-mounted and embedded in the concrete slab).

General specifications

External walls: The walls of an ECO House are comprised of five layers.
a) An outside panel of a wood cement bonded particle board 16mm thick;
b) Galvanized corrugated sheet panels 0.80mm thick firmly anchored to a galvanized, cold profile steel structure of thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 1.5mm;
c) High density glass wool insulation mattress in a polythene sheet (40-50mm);
d) Internal panel (tot. thickness 10 cm.) of a wood cement bonded particle board 10mm thick, (toilet panel 16mm thick);
e) Gypsum board inner panel 12mm thick.

Roof
The roof framework is made of modular galvanized steel trusses and covered by corrugated ZINCALUME® sheets AZ 150 0.45mm thick (The Zinc/aluminum alloy coating on ZINCALUME® steel imparts corrosion resistance of up to four times the life of galvanized steel). The structure's main frame is named galvanized HI-TEN steel sections, 1.5mm thick. The roof too is insulated with high density glass wool mattress in a polythene sheet (40-50mm)

Doors & Windows
All windows are pre-painted aluminum frame, 1.6mm with float clear glass, 6mm thick. Mosquito nets are also provided. Doors and door frames are made of hardwood.

Internal Partitions
10cm. internal partitions are made of composite panels consisting of gypsum board 12mm thick and main structure members of galvanized steel.

Sanitary Fittings & Electric System
Electrical system wiring runs inside the walls. Voltages depend on local power supplies. Bathroom is outfitted with high standards sanitary-ware (American Standards or equivalent).

Air–conditioning system (set-up but not included)
Arrangements are made (wiring and minor ductings) for future installation of air–conditioning units, either wall mounted or floor split units.

Painting
Internal and external painting is done with semi-gloss pure acrylic 100%.
